What is your work and research on innovation based on?

The Innovator’s DNA study was a joint study led by Professors Jeff Dyer (Brigham Young University & Wharton School of Business), Hal Gregersen (Insead), and Clayton Christensen (Harvard Business School).

The study currently consists of qualitative and quantitative data from over 7,000 innovators: inventors, entrepreneurs, innovative business executives, designers and others.

What is the Innovation Premium and why is it important?

As part of our research efforts we wanted to find and study the most innovative organizations. We found that the rankings that existed at the time tended to be more like popularity contests instead of objective ratings of an organizations innovative prowess.  We decided to develop our own ranking, based on investor expectations and diligence–the result was the Innovation Premium ranking.
